As a result we have identified a need for a skilled web developer to help develop our UK team and work in conjunction with overseas based developers.


The group has over seven million website visitors per month and the successful applicant’s work might be seen by millions of people worldwide. 

What you will do

The job will involve developing new WordPress websites and plugins and some maintenance and development of Drupal websites and modules. On a day to do basis you will be developing security features, page load optimisation features, features to enhance usability, ecommerce features and website performance improvements. The company has ambitious plans to develop and invest in cross-platform and WordPress Multisite technologies. You will also be working on some advanced features, requiring a strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress and some Javascript. Understanding of Facebook, Twitter and Google APIs will also be useful.

What you will bring to the table

  • 3+ years experience working in the industry as a web developer
  • Extensive experience working on WordPress and Drupal 6, 7 platforms
  • Strong website/application development skills in PHP, Javascript / jQuery and HTML
  • Highly skilled at developing website functions, plugins and modules including widgets
  • Meeting/liaising with internal clients to discuss requirements and/or project progress
  • Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Experience working with WordPress Multisite
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms
  • Experience working with Git version control and remote repositories
  • An interest in new technologies and techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail
