    This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding global organisation determined to become the world leader in market intelligence. We are growing our team in EMEA and investing in strong sales talent who can deliver fast growth of our vertical products within the Professional Services space.


    The Key Account Manager role is a combination of both new business (‘hunter’) and account management (‘renewal’), with primary weight on new business. You will be responsible for prospecting, influencing and growing relationships across the U.K. and EMEA region. This role offers huge potential – through uncapped earnings and significant career advancement given – and will be attractive to salespeople who relish the opportunity to present market intelligence solutions to C-level executives.

    What you will do

    • Over-achieve assigned monthly revenue targets by strategically developing new business opportunities within the business intelligence market (Healthcare, Consumer, Financial Services, Energy, and Technology).
    • Build strong relationship with existing clients subscribed to GlobalData services, so as to ensure their yearly renewal with up-sell opportunity.
    • Confidently engage with C-level executives at the largest Professional Services companies in the U.K. and EMEA, through an ongoing pipeline of activity (both live and by phone)
    • Focus on New Business - selling into Professional Services, Consultants, Banks and Ad Agencies
    • Independently own the sales process from start to finish: including prospecting, message creation, value demonstration and contract negotiation (and potential account management where required)
    • Contribute fully to the objectives of GlobalData and achieve the personal objectives set by your manager. 

    What you will bring to the table

    • 5+ years’ experience selling complex data services, ideally with relevant industry knowledge and experience in B2B business intelligence
    • Knowledge of the professional services, banking (investment banking & equity research), or private equity sectors
    • Strong record of surpassing regular challenging sales performance goals and contributing to firm growth by demonstrating a consultative approach in aligning to the clients’ needs
    • Proven ability to precisely manage and forecast sales pipeline
    • Ability to create and deliver compelling, persuasive arguments to an executive-level audience, and built rapport/credibility quickly
    • Experience of professionally operating a Sales CRM to manage your performance, sales and provide transparency on your business
    • Ideally, demonstrable background in selling business intelligence products to, or working within: Professional Services, Financial Services.
