What you will do

  • Selling sponsorship and exhibition space across a portfolio of conferences, seminars and award ceremonies, including research, webcasts, workshops.
  • To sell sponsorship of bespoke and tailored customer briefings, roundtables and workshops.
  • Delivering personal sales targets as outlined by the Events Director.
  • Developing the sales proposition and supporting sales collateral for existing and new projects
  • Identify and research new prospects.
  • Engage with prospects and customers to identify their business objectives and propose relevant solutions from the sponsorship and events portfolio
  • Managing existing relationships with clients in a professional manner whilst developing the account and identifying opportunities to increase revenue
  • Identify client requirements, analyse market in order to make proposals and lead sales driven projects across the portfolio as required,
  • Analyse sales figures in order to provide the Events Director with weekly sales reports
  • Contribute to the larger business by providing relevant client feedback and intelligence to the product development and marketing teams To set out sponsorship sales terms and conditions each year and to ensure that all sales are conducted in a professional and honest manner and in a way that secures Timetric’s professional reputation in the market.
  • To adhere to the company’s official Sales Guidelines.
  • To keep proper records of all sales transactions in the sponsorship sales area within SalesForce and to maintain the accuracy of all sponsorship sales reports and to present sponsorship revenue reports (including long term sales) as required.
  • To ensure that sponsorship sales adhere to official sponsorship rates, unless otherwise authorised to do so by the Events Director. Discounts should be allowed only within the agreed terms (which will be reviewed on a half yearly basis); or by special permission from the Events Director. Any other Discounts must be authorised by the Events Director
  • At all times to ensure that no excessive claims as to the attendance or reach of any event is made.
  • To ensure that Timetric Events fulfil its obligations to sponsors


What you will bring to the table

  • First-hand experience in selling event sponsorship throughout financial services sectors; including insurance, retail banking, private banking and asset finance.
  • Specialised knowledge of latest trends in financial services, including latest advancements in FinTech, InsurTech and RegTech, so as to become a trusted advisor to senior executives in financial sectors.  
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven track record of new regional market development.
  • International sales experience required, with a heightened culturally sensitivity, so as to move seamlessly between markets.
  • Experience working with government bodies, trade organisations, and senior leadership in corporations, with a preference toward candidates who have achieved roles influencing these bodies.
  • Candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record of identifying new business opportunities.
  • Candidate must have contacts already within the financial services sector both in the United Kingdom, greater Europe and Internationally including the USA and Canada.
  • Candidate must have experience in consultative solutions for clients across conferences, roundtables, and corporate entertainment.
  • Candidate must have experience in developing own collateral and sales tools.
  • Candidate must have experience in event production and liaising with clients on site.
  • Candidate must be an excellent prospector, sourcing new clients and markets to expand own portfolio.
  • Candidate must have experience managing other sales people.
  • Ready to meet KPIs to achieve competitive targets.
  • Languages – bilingual in French
