Our emphasis is on subscription sales of market analytics, databases, syndicated reports and consulting services to the world’s largest Pharmaceutical companies. The successful candidate will be based at our London office, and assume responsibility for expanding our sales presence within defined major clients in Europe.

What you will do

  • Hit/exceed quarterly sales revenue targets based on new business & growth of existing renewal subscriptions within defined client base
  • Manage pipeline book of business from opportunity initiation through the delivery lifecycle
  • Prepare Account Plans with short-, mid- and long-term revenue goals to leverage the full potential of our range of solutions
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts to management as required
  • Lead and facilitate face-to-face and online client meetings, including delivery of presentations to senior management level, to successfully position our full range of solutions
  • Prepare high quality proposals and successfully negotiate to win profitable new business and renewal growth
  • Proactively engage with the broader Healthcare team including Sales, Analysts, Client Services, Marketing and Consultancy, to drive the full value of our solutions to clients
  • Contribute to the larger business by providing relevant client feedback and industry intelligence to the product development, strategy and marketing teams
  • At all times behave in a professional manner consistent with our values and enhancing the GlobalData brand

What you will bring to the table

  • A proven track record of exceeding sales goals in Pharma business intelligence, or similar area
  • Experience of building and managing revenues in excess of $500k within accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with a deep interest and knowledge of the Life Sciences area
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level decision makers and coordinate global/regional/local activity on major accounts
  • Excellent communicator combining interpersonal relationship-building with meeting facilitation and a high level of presentation skills
  • Strong quantitative skills, exhibiting comfort with financial, corporate and market data, as well as other aspects of company and market analysis
  • Ability to work independently based on strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and contribute as part of a team
  • Educated to a minimum of degree level (science degree preferred though not essential), relevant second degree preferred (e.g. Masters, Ph.D.)
