Interested in becoming a Beverage Analyst/Editor? We have a unique opportunity for a high calibre individual to join a leading research company as a Beverage Analyst/Editor. Working with high profile market players, our company is considered the beverage industry’s information specialist providing the industry with essential insight, research, reports and data.

What you will do

The Beverage Analyst/Editor position is a varied and exciting role which spans numerous industries within the Beverages Team, from soft drinks, to all commercial beverages, to packaging and alcoholic beverages, with all reports differing in terms of focus and level of detail. Due to the matrix-type structure of the team, a Beverage Analyst/Editor is required to be flexible in their working patterns and to move across from different industries and different reports depending on timings of the annual service cycle. Key responsibilities of the Beverage Analyst/Editor position include:

  • Proofing and editing text to ensure reports are written in clear and concise English, checking data is correct and accurate and that formatting issues are addressed by liaising with the assembly team
  • Validating complex data sets and analysing market drivers and trends across many countries around the globe, working closely with research consultants to ensure data trends are backed up with insightful value-added text analysis and opinion
  • During all projects, working as part of a team to ensure all reports are produced by their allotted deadlines as efficiently as possible, flagging potential risks or issues in a timely manner
  • Continually improving the data quality and analytical text content of all reports on a proactive basis by supporting country researchers and regional managers throughout the year

With support from senior analysts, produce press releases that are engaging and interesting to beverage industry readers, help to address press inquiries and support, where necessary, the company’s online content and delivery systems

What you will bring to the table

  • Minimum 2:1 degree or relevant working experience
  • High level of literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to write good quality text within a limited timespan
  • Strong attention to detail is essential
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Enjoys a mixture of routine and dynamic tasks
  • Good time management skills and can work under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

 Desirable Skills

  • Experience and knowledge of beverage or FMCG industry preferred but not essential
  • Project Management skills
  • Client facing experience

Salary - Up to £20,000 per annum
