GlobalData is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the retail team. GlobalData is a leading retail analysis and consulting firm in the UK, and we are looking for a senior analyst who has strong research analysis experience and a deep knowledge of the fashion and beauty sectors, but is also able to turn their hand to others sectors due to their passion for retail and interest in consumer behaviour. We work with many of the world’s leading retailers, property firms and those in the financial sector to help them maximise success through developing a thorough understanding of the sector and its likely future performance. 

• Project management and authoring of syndicated research products for clients Undertake research and produce high quality and accurate analysis
• Work as part of a team to ensure reports are produced to a high standard within allotted deadlines, with responsibility for proofreading and editing content
• Train and support junior members of the team
• Assist our sales teams to strengthen client relationships
• Provide insight and analysis to the media, showing thought leadership

• Educated to degree level
• Experience of producing market analysis: market building, manipulating and analysing data, and producing meaningful insight
• An ability to analyse key issues, threats and trends across various retail sectors and channels including clothing & footwear, food & grocery, sports, discounters and department stores
• An understanding of macro issues, demographic trends and economic measures and how they impact the retail market and consumer spend
• Excellent written English and an ability to proof and edit written content
• Strong communication and presentation skills with experience of creating and delivering client presentations
• Line management and project management experience
• Commercial acumen and an ability to identify growth opportunities for clients
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
