    We have an opportunity for a high calibre individual to join a leading research company as a Data Analyst. Working with high profile market players, our company is considered the beverage industry’s information specialist providing the industry with essential insight, research, reports and data.


    This position is a varied and exciting role which spans numerous industries within the Team, from soft drinks, to all commercial beverages, to packaging and alcoholic beverages, with all reports differing in terms of focus and level of detail. We are looking for an Analyst who enjoys the technical side of number crunching and is able to analyse data and spot trends.

    What you will do

    The successful applicant will be highly organised and comfortable with manipulating, analysing and managing large volumes of data and information, from a variety of internal and external sources. They will be flexible and pro-active with excellent Excel skills and the ability to create automated templates and tools for our internal teams and researchers. The key responsibilities of this role are:


    • Retrieving data as required from in-house databases and commissioned field research; reviewing data for accuracy, relevance, integrity and alignment
    • Liaising with our global network of research consultants to assist them in validating their data
    • Checking, processing and validating data submitted by research consultants, using in-house software and Excel to produce outputs that meet agreed deadlines and quality standards
    • Continually improving and testing processes/tools used within the department to process and check data, with a view to automating repetitive tasks to reduce time spent on them across the team
    • Pro-actively contribute to all aspects of project implementation, especially to enhance the quality of delivery tools, outputs and client experience
    • Preparation of client facing deliverables in various formats to company quality standards in respect of both data integrity and presentation
    • Data forecasting and modelling, using appropriate predictive and analytical techniques

    What you will bring to the table

    • Minimum 2:1 degree in mathematics or other numerate discipline with a significant component in statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience of working with complex data sets
    • High level of literacy and numeracy skills
    • High level of MS Office skills, particularly Excel (Advanced and preferably with VBA knowledge)
    • Aptitude to learn new software quickly
    • Strong attention to detail is essential
    • Good time management skills and can work under pressure
    • The ability to work pro-actively, both independently and within project-based teams
    • High degree of initiative and strong problem-solving skills
