Today our team of analysts and researchers deliver a large programme of research and advisory services, covering all aspects of ICT in central, local and devolved government; health; education; emergency services; transport and national security.

    We are seeking an analyst to lead our research in public sector health technology – a high profile and exciting field in which your expertise will be highly sought after by our clients.

    What you will do

    • Researching and writing strategic reports and comment pieces on various aspects of the UK health and social care ICT market
    • Keeping a watching brief over the latest developments in policy, key technologies and suppliers, NHS news, programmes and procurements
    • Advising clients via telephone and face-to-face briefings
    • Contributing to consulting projects
    • Supporting our sales team to engage current and prospective clients
    • Promoting GlobalData Public Sector and yourself by commenting to journalists, speaking at conferences and networking in industry forums
    • Supporting and giving direction to colleagues including our Forecasting Manager; our Government Computing journalist colleagues; and our India-based researchers who gather data on healthcare bodies, ICT contracts and opportunities.

    What you will bring to the table

    Whatever your background, you will need the following skills and attributes:

    • Knowledge of and interest in UK health and social care technology issues
    • Excellent written English, able to turn your hand to long pieces of analysis as well as short and punchy commentary
    • Articulate: good at explaining complex topics in simple language, and public speaking
    • Numerate and data-literate, good MS Excel skills
    • Experience in client-facing roles
    • A helpful, collaborative team player
