    Integral to the healthcare team, GlobalData Consulting’s highly experienced consultants expertly lead clients to identify new opportunities, minimize risk, gain competitive advantage and improve profitability by delivering bespoke solutions to clients around the world. Our approaches typically leverage a hybrid of GlobalData’s proprietary databases, in-house secondary and primary market research, analytical horsepower, and consulting expertise. 

    What you will do

    As one of GlobalData’s healthcare vertical consultants, you will help lead and manage a global team of Analysts and Associates to complete projects. Working with Senior/Managing Consultants, Principals and other Senior Management you will:

    • Join client interactions to understand problems and develop, refine, and test hypotheses
    • Structure complex strategic and analytical problems that constitute the core of the team's work
    • Leverage your substantial science training to optimize commercial strategies for our clients
    • Help lead the team to turn analyses into key findings and actionable recommendations
    • Participate in the delivery of in-person client presentations

    What you will bring to the table

    • Ability to conduct financial modeling (e.g., forecasting, NPV) and utilize Visual Basic is desired
    • Experience in decision analysis
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS is useful
    • Bi- or multi-lingual

    The ideal candidate for this Consultant position will have an advanced degree from a top school and demonstrated excellence as an undergraduate, graduate and during any previous employment opportunities. Proven analytic abilities, a rigorous background, presentation skills, management experience and a team-oriented attitude are essential.  

     

    PhDs in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, or Engineering are most desirable. A demonstrated passion for healthcare or the life sciences is crucial, and more specifically, an active interest in commercial strategy and/or the business side of healthcare is essential.

     

    Essential Skills & Experience (Applicant “Must HaveS”):

    • Business analytics and/or information/data-based project delivery for pharma/biotech clients, ideally covering such topics as opportunity assessments, licensing/BD evaluations, market landscapes, and product development and commercialization
    • Familiarity with approaches and methods required to deliver the above:
    • Identifying and framing issues
    • Secondary and primary research
    • Modelling and forecasting
    • Synthesizing information and interpreting it
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dive into detail and analyze key issues, identify insights and develop actionable recommendations
    • High proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, including the ability to build basic models
    • Strong communication skills
    • Resourceful and effective in an entrepreneurial environment
    • A self-starter, driven, and with relentless client focus
    • Ability to multitask across a range of projects with varying degrees of complexity

    DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Financial modeling skills (e.g., forecasting, NPV, etc.)
    • Experience in decision analysis
    • Bi- or multi-lingual
