    GlobalData is currently looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Executive as an addition to our growing global sales team, representing the GlobalData Business Insights (Construction) Practice. A successful candidate in this fast paced and innovative environment will demonstrate strength in identifying the customer requirements, collaborating internally, and selling solutions to an executive-level audience. This individual will be energetic, self-motivated, and an independent worker based out of our Sydney Office.

    What you will do

    • Identify and understand the business goals, objectives, key customer issues, and new initiatives of clients and prospects in order to develop the appropriate response solution
    • Qualify the client’s organizational structure, available budget and decision process to ensure accurate forecasts of business growth opportunities
    • Demonstrate ability to sell high value information services
    • Strong understanding of subscription based services
    • Develop healthy business relationships with a broad set of senior executives, key department representatives, and functional users at clients and prospects
    • Solid grounding in business concepts of Construction Industry
    • Achieve consistent renewal and new business goals through effective sales pipeline management

    What you will bring to the table

    • 2+ years of successful sales experience in Construction Domain
    • Prior B2B selling experience in China, or to Chinese companies highly preferable
    • Exposure and understanding of the construction and infrastructure industry highly preferable but not a MUST
    • Bachelor’s Degree Required
    • Must be fluent in Mandarin and English
    • Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate a compelling message and influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people to achieve win-win situations
    • Prior experience to communicate efficiently with large Chinese enterprises highly preferable
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite
    • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM applications
    • Experience in Construction /Infrastructure or Subscription Based Services
