    This role will be based at Crossways Business Park

     

    Working within a team of 5, this role requires a sales person with strong new business skills.  They will need to be self motivated, hard working and a good team player.  They will sell advertising/event space to a portfolio of foodservice media products including 3 market leading magazines, various online products and a number of associated awards and event sponsorships.

    What you will do

    In order to execute this role successfully you will need to perform the following functions:

    • Develop a significant database of accounts from a wide range of client backgrounds. Some of these will be familiar to the business but may not be familiar to all elements of the business. Key emphasis will be on developing new business
    • To execute a minimum of 65-70 client telephone calls per day when in the office
    • To visit and present to 3 clients a day when on the road. We would roughly expect the successful candidate to spend 50% of the time split between office and client visits
    • Responsibility for the delivery and exceeding of targets
    • Managing key internal relationships that will be required to deliver the required sales
    • Creative approach to sales opportunities, ability to spot and deliver solutions to both client and budgetary requirements
    • An up to date understanding of media trends and functions in both a b2b and the consumer environment
    • Monthly/weekly reporting of sales targets, achievements and plans

    Budgeting and forecasting as required

    What you will bring to the table

    • Good communicator
    • Telesales experience and training
    • Persuasiveness
    • Organised, self motivated and focussed
    • Preferably some experience of media sales in a competitive environment
    • Experience of ‘package’ selling different media solutions
    • B2B sponsorship sales experience would be preferable.

     

    Salary expectation is approximately £22-£25K per annum, + company car + commission
