    Arena International Events Group is looking for an Events Marketing Executive to join its expanding team. Arena International is part of a fast-growing global media group which produces publications, websites, business information and events.

     

    This role will be based in London, but working on our sister brand based in Dubai, MEED.  MEED is a remarkable senior management media brand that encompasses a subscription website and magazine, C-level executive conferences, awards and summits hosted by MEED Events, and a high-value content business, MEED Projects.

     

    Established in 1957, MEED, has been integral to delivering business information and news, intelligence and analysis on the Middle East economies and activities ever since. Attracting a key senior management audience through its content and activities, MEED is a media brand and publication that covers a spectrum of services that inform.

     

    As an Events Marketing Executive you will work across a portfolio of 4 awards programmes plus potential new conference and forum products.   You will be responsible for taking charge of creating and implementing an effective strategy for the marketing of the awards, with a specific focus on generating new entrants from across the Middle East. This will include implementing marketing plans, generating media partnerships, managing social media accounts, helping to create marketing literature and instigating your own creative ideas to help achieve the business objectives.

    What you will do

    Key functional responsibilities include:

    • To identify target audiences by selecting relevant records in the database and using external sources
    • To manage the design process of all marketing collateral including websites, brochures and newsletters that fall under your remit
    • To plan and carry out email marketing campaigns
    • To manage social media updates for each event
    • Establish barter agreements through media partnerships with associations and publications
    • Regularly track and analyse social media activity, open rates of marketing emails and website traffic to determine future marketing strategy
    • Own and manage the delegate acquisition strategy
    • Ensure all targets and KPI’s relating to delegate volumes and revenues are hit
    • Drive leads to the sponsorship sales team
    • Increase lead generation YoY
    • Increasing lead conversion

    Market Research

    Identify key prospect segments for event acquisition through extensive research of current customer base and potential customers

    Analysis

    Responsible for accurately and promptly analysing all marketing data and acting upon the results

    Marketing Launch Campaign Creation and Delivery

    To ensure that any new MEED Events products are launched into market in a premium value position

    Copy, creative, design and package

    To produce innovative, compelling and profitable creative work

    Database development

    Constantly analyse and manage the hygiene and growth of the database, acting on weak areas, optimising strengths, measuring and controlling research ROI based on actual costs and performance results

    Marketing methodologies and approaches

    To use the most profitable set of marketing methodologies to optimise profits, visitor numbers and revenues while limiting risk and fatigue

    Sales support marketing

    Responsible for generating leads, opening doors, helping close new business and client marketing

    Partnership management and creation

    Responsible for managing existing strategic partnerships; responsible for identifying and establishing new partnerships

    What you will bring to the table

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent
    • Knowledge and experience of the full marketing mix
    • Minimum of 1 year in event marketing (B2B preferred)

    Skills & Competencies

    • Can demonstrate excellent creative writing skills
    • Strong maths and analytical abilities
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
    • HTML and Photoshop experience an advantage
    • Can demonstrate a developing knowledge of relevant geographical market and relevant sectors
