    Working closely with the HR Generalist in New York as well as the HR, Talent, and Payroll teams based in the UK, the HR Intern will have exposure to all functions of Human Resources and cover the geographic area of multi-state US (20+ states) and Canada.

    What you will do

    You will have an opportunity to learn and get invovled in the following:


    Recruitment & Hiring

    • Support recruitment & hiring efforts by posting job ads, sourcing, coordinating interviews, and participating in the interview process
    • Work in ATS (applicant tracking system)
    • Assist in preparation of offers and contracts, among other necessary documentation
    • Participate in the onboarding process of new hires, collecting necessary payroll, benefits, etc. enrollment forms
    • Ensure that new hires are set up in HRIS system


    Benefits Administration

    • Assist with enrolling new hires in various benefits and third-party systems
    • Assist in making necessary benefits changes for employees, as needed
    • Prepare COBRA separation packets
    • Assist in audits of enrollment reports for accuracy and reconciliation with Finance


    Payroll (US and Canada)

    • Record all necessary payroll changes throughout the pay period
    • Assist in accurately determining cutoffs, payout, benefit changes/discontinuation, and other deduction changes
    • Assist in summarizing all changes to prepare for payroll processing


    Employee Relations

    • Serve as a point of contact and resource for employees and managers
    • Provide support with employees’ inquiries by working closely with the HR Generalist
    • Stay up to date and research laws and regulations as needed to ensure that all processes are compliant across different US state jurisdictions, Canada, as well as federal regulations
    • Provide support for work visa processing by compiling necessary information, drafting documents, and reports
    • Maintain electronic employee files


    HR Projects and Ad Hoc Tasks

    • Participate in HR projects, for instance re-vamping the onboarding program
    • Continuously seek areas of improvement and suggest feasible solutions
    • Research information, ideas, resources, laws & compliance, and best practices
    • Collaborate closely with the Finance team, assisting to reconcile invoices, providing urgent incoming requests, correspondences, and invoices
    • Collaborate with various members of our HR, Talent, and Payroll teams
    • Maintain and audit HRIS systems; perform HR analytics, compile reports


    What you will bring to the table

    • Currently enrolled in a university HR degree program or a recent graduate; Master’s degree program preferred. Students who are able to receive coursework credit preferred.
    • Interest and passion for generalist-type HR responsibilities across all HR functions
    • Detail oriented and able to organize, keep track of various tasks and timelines
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite
    • Able to partake in multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously
    • Able to navigate ambiguities, but know when to seek guidance
    • Interest in multi-state HR and global/international HR
    • Interest in a data analytics company and various industry verticals (healthcare, technology, financial services, energy, consumer, retail)
    • Interest in a large, complex, corporate organization
    • Enjoy working closely together and being part of a larger, complex team
